Outreach programme for secondary schools designed to engage students at risk of exclusion through the powerful mediums of music and media. Our programme seeks to provide a nurturing space beyond the confines of traditional schooling, where students can explore their creative potential, develop essential life skills, and foster a profound sense of inclusion to carry back into their school settings.
Modules:
MU Create (Non-Accredited)
Students receive guidance, resources, and facilities to develop a music or media-centred product, fostering active engagement and a strong sense of accomplishment.
Creative Media (L2 Accredited)
Students craft and release their own multimedia project, while delving into the essence of multimedia and its significance in contemporary society.
Students engage in the comprehensive process of conceptualising, crafting, and executing an advertisement to showcase their own or an existing product.
Music Video Production (L2 Accredited)
Students will plan, create, package and distribute a music video.
This programme is specifically crafted for students who may be facing challenges in school that puts them at risk of exclusion from the traditional educational system. Using music and media as the key engagement tools, our goal is to provide a supportive and creative environment where students can discover new talents, build confidence, and develop essential life skills.
Throughout the programme, participants will embark on a dynamic journey of self-discovery, collaboration and expression, providing an outlet to channel thoughts, emotions and experiences into meaningful artistic content.
The overall objective of the course is for students to discover their strengths, realise their potential, and become active contributors to their school and beyond, not only finding their voices but also learn to amplify them.
